RELAIS ACCUEIL VTT (Mountain Bike Centre)

Le Relais VTT de RevinThis project originated from a development scheme centred on the valleys of the Meuse and the Semoy. Previously a network of 400kms of routes was developed in collaboration with the local authorities.

Several centres, with or without accommodation, have been set up in the following towns :

The centre at Revin is for ramblers and mountain bikers, offering different services such as :

Operated by the association CARAVEL (Canoe Randonnée Velo) the centre is situated on the Quai Edgar Quinet at the departure point for walks and mountain bike paths (specifically the “green” bike route = towpath can currently be followed as far as Haybes)

The geographical features and the quality of the environment of the valleys of the Meuse and the Semoy mean that numerous outdoor activities can be practised : waling and rambling, horse riding; hang gliding, canoe-kayak, rock climbing, hunting, fishing and of course mountain biking.

A may of suitable routes is available at the tourist office.

Go where you like but….

  • Follow the signposted routes in the direction indicated for Your security
  • Don’t overestimate your capabilities and ride within your own Speed limits
  • Be careful and courteous when overtaking ramblers because the Pedestrian has priority
  • Check your bike and make sure you have food and a repair kit
  • If you leave alone, leave a note of your itinerary with a responsible person
  • Respect private land and cultivated areas
  • Beware of agricultural and forestry machinery
  • Close gates
  • Do not pick wild animals
  • Take your litter with you and respect the environment
  • Make sure you are insured- for example the pass’ sport nature FFC

Signposts and information panels

Since 2007, signposts and information panels ramblers; mountain bikers and kayak/canoeists are installed at different places in the town as well as in the various tourist centres.
