Revin, an industrial town

In the difficult international context, the local industries remain a source of pride. Particularly thanks to the two flagship companies – Electrolux (formely Athur Martin) and Ideal Standard France (formerly Porcher). It is thanks to up-to-date technology and the Irreplaceable skills and knowledge of their employees that these Companies, together with other less important companies such as Béroudiaux , contribute to the industrial renown of our town, in the locality, in the regionand even on a national scale.

In this area also difficulties are experienced by small shops. A forward looking plan, involving the town, the U.C.A.R. , the Chambers of commerce and the state, has been evolved in an effort to redynamise the local commerce.

More than 70 societies exist in Revin and offer a range of interests in such varied areas as :

• culture
• leisure activities including those involving participation in trades unions and politics.
